Our baseplates are stamped in the Croatia, every segment is of vintage correct size and specs. The material is custom made nickel silver from the U.S.A. (a.k.a. German silver), the best quality on the market with the correct percentage of nickel in its manufacturing, made to exact specs from lab tested genuine 1958 P.A.F. pickups. It has even replicated the stamping marks on the feet on the pickups, because the tools used are identical to the ones used on 50's and 60's Gibson pickups. Tight fit screws in the holes of the pole pieces create great sustain… just like on real P.A.F. pickups. 
 
Our cellulose acetate butyrate plastic bobbins are made in a steel mould just like the ones on 1950's pickups, with all the vintage correct details. The color of the bobbins is matched to real 1959 Zebra P.A.F. pickups. Even the mould marks and numbers inside the bobbins are replicated. Pickups are shipped with white cellulose acetate butyrate M69 rings already installed and ready to drop into your guitar.
 
We use slugs made for us from various types of steel with different amounts of carbon in order to get all of the various types of sound our customers are looking for. On Wizz slugs you have the correct bulls-eye lathe marks, and only one edge is rounded… just like on genuine Gibson 50's P.A.F. pickups. The slugs are nickel plated with matching polepiece screws that are also made from different types of steel to get those different types of P.A.F. sound. Our polepiece screws are custom made in the U.S.A. in the screw factory that made the screws for the Gibson factory in the 1950's, and we believe our screws are made on the very same machines used for the ones on the original P.A.F. pickups. Nickel or gold plated… vintage correct size and shape…. even that correct circle at the end of the screw is replicated correctly. These are not available anyplace on the market.
 
The keeper bars are made from a few different types of steel. They are not stamped like the cheap “Made in China” stuff flooding the market. We had this steel custom made in keystock shape here in Croatia, then we hand cut it, machine drilled 2 types of holes, and with sanding we make the same marks as real 50's keeper bars have. Wood spacers are also hand cut from eastern maple… just like on the original P.A.F. pickups.
 
Our P.A.F. covers are made in Japan to the exact TV screen shape and from vintage correct nickel plated nickel-silver material. The spacing is 49.21 mm and the tooling is made from an original 1958 P.A.F. cover. Nickel, gold plated or without plating are all available for correct 1957 specs with the original sharp edges.
 
Our hookup wire is custom made in the U.S. in the same factory that made pickup hookup wire for the Fender and Gibson factories. It is exactly the same specs as "loose" 2 strand braided late 50's P.A.F. pickups. As a cosmetic feature we even have custom made coil tape that has the correct "greenish" cellulose finish. On demand we can replicate the black light glow on tape or our silk screened "Patent Applied For" decals. The magnet wire is custom made 42 AWG dark purple plain enamel wire made for us in the U.S.A.
